Dear fellow Rotarians,

Thank you for your service in a most difficult year. Your leadership is critical to ensure that your members stay engaged within their clubs, continue to serve their communities, and adapt to the realities of the pandemic. We are asking for your help with our Rotary Foundation event on May 12, 2021. Together, we will celebrate what we have achieved and inspire Rotarians to do more. The online Gala event, "Celebrate our Foundation!" will be held Wednesday, May 12, from 8-9 pm ET (5-6 PT). It will be a fast-paced 60-minute variety style show featuring Rotary dignitaries, celebrities, musicians, entertainers and more. Details are at the event website: www.bit.ly/TRF-Gala.......

Support of The Rotary Foundation has increased by 6%, but the demand has doubled. In 2020, we did not have enough funds for all the projects that Rotarians asked us to support. In 2021 we will likely run out of funds by the end of May. Those requests for funds come from your clubs, and your members. That tells us that many of our members understand the need to support our Foundation.

We have an opportunity to inspire our members - to share stories of how our Foundation has enabled us to change the lives of children, families and communities - both locally and around the world.

The need is greater than ever as we face the long term consequences of the pandemic, and as we move ever closer to the end of polio.

We have an opportunity NOW to help Rotarians, clubs and Districts reach, and even exceed, your goals!

The online Gala event, "Celebrate our Foundation!" will be held Wednesday, May 12, from 8-9 pm ET (5-6 PT). It will be a fast-paced 60-minute variety style show featuring Rotary dignitaries, celebrities, musicians, entertainers and more. Details are at the event website: www.bit.ly/TRF-Gala.

The ticket price is $110 USD, of which only $10 goes to the event itself. The Foundation supporter will get a charitable tax receipt for the $100, along with 100 Paul Harris Recognition points. You will get credit towards your District’s Foundation goals. And if the Foundation supporter chooses to donate more, either at registration or during the event, then all of those extra funds are credited to your District and your member.

We also encourage all of the Districts in Zone 28 and 32 to hold your own celebration, either before or after our event, to celebrate your District’s successes, recognize your Rotarians, share stories, and encourage your members to do more.

This is our call to action. Together we will celebrate our Foundation and do even more good in the world.

Thank you for your support, and for all that you do.

Yours in Rotary service,
