The Port Hope Rotary Club won the draw for the Rotary Peace Pole at the Rotary District Conference and we collected $810.00 for the Rotary Foundation.

Both Port Perry and Ian Lancaster are also interested in purchasing a pole as is the Rotary Club of Etobicoke to be placed in our existing Peace Park. Thank you to everyone. More news when it becomes available.

The peace poles are vinyl, weather resistant and come from the World Peace Sanctuary located in Wassaic, New York which is approximately two hours north of New York City and is the home of May Peace Prevail on Earth International.
Poles are shipped from that location around the world.
Dimensions of the 8 foot pole are:
4” by 4” x 93”tall.
Fits perfectly over a 3 3/4” by 3 3/4” wooden pole**.
Some installations use the wooden pole as an insert.
The peace pole is insured when shipping.
Not sure about other pole insurance like warranty.

For every peace pole dedicated, ten trees are planted.
