REVERAND HAL WILSON - ROTARY CLUB OF BELLEVILLE

The Rotary Club of Belleville remembers the life of Reverend Hal Wilson, a Rotarian for over 40 years from and served as Club President in 1988-89.
He was an inspiration to his congregation and all those with whom he met. His love for his community was shared with many organizations throughout the Quinte Region. He was also involved with the Belleville General Hospital board as chair. He was named the 2007 Guardian Angel by The Children’s Foundation. The 418 Wing Air Force Association’s ‘Reverend Hal Wilson Humanitarian Award is named in his honour, along with a Christmas Sharing student bursary, among other accolades.
Hal was Reverend at Bridge Street United Church and a valued member of our community. He will not be forgotten.
Hal leaves behind his wife Olive, two children and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Wilson and Dorothy Wilson; and his brother Don Wilson (late Lorene). He is survived by: his wife Olive Wilson; his children, Stephanie Clarey of Whitehorse, Yukon, Hal Wilson Jr. (Josée) and Illinois; his grandchildren, Willem, Joseph, Jacob, Noah and Sienna; and his brothers, Gary Wilson (Sandra) and Doug Wilson (Rita). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rushnell Funeral Homes - Belleville (80 Highland Ave, Belleville, ON K8P3R4). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
