BEVERLY DILLON - Mother of Rotary District7070 Governor Nominee Niecy Dillon
“Forever in Our Hearts” - It is with sadness and a tremendous sense of loss that District Governor Nominee, Niecy Dillon-Tyrovolas announced the loss of her Mom, Beverley Dillon, a cherished mother, grandma, and friend to many. Beverley passed peacefully with family around her on July 13th at Lakeridge Health-Ajax. A Time to Celebrate Beverley’s Life was held on Sunday, July 30th at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby. We send our deep condolences to Niecy, Chris and her family. Beverley is predeceased by her beloved husband Steve Dillon. Loving mother of Niecy (Chris) and Matt (Christina). Cherished grandma of Jessica (Wynnzlow), Brianna (Mike), Alexa, Jacob, Katelyn, and Olivia. Beverley will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her extended family and many friends. MANFRED SOHN - ROTARY CLUB OF BELLEVILLE
The sad news of former and long-time Belleville Rotarian, Manfred Rainer Sohn's passing at the age of 88 on July 3rd in Belleville is shared with members of the Club. He is remembered warmly by fellow Rotarians for his positive attitude, kindness and genuine warmth. In the community, Manfred will be remembered as a well respected businessman and entrepreneur, an esteemed and engaged member of the Rotary Club, a man of high integrity, honesty, and community involvement and someone who shared his passion for Canada in many stages throughout his life. Manfred joined Rotary on January 5, 1982 and was a Paul Harris +1. He was active on the Quinte Rotary Music Festival for many years and hosted the committee meetings at the Queen's Motor Inn, a business he owned and operated.
