There's a new club in District 7070. The Rotary Club of Toronto Skyline was officially chartered by Rotary International on April 19, 2012. They meet every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at The Office Pub, 117 John Street in Toronto.
To mark the occasion, a celebratory dinner was held on June 19th at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was attended by  RCTS members, visiting members from a number of other clubs in the Toronto area, family and friends. Among the notable guests were 7070 District Governor Bob Wallace (RC Port Hope), District Governor Elect Ted Koziel, District Governor Nominee Valarie Wafer, and Dr. Robert Scott (RC Coburg), former Rotary Foundation Chair and current PolioPlus Chair.

Past District Governor Lynda Ryder gave the keynote address, asking "Do you believe in magic?" and sharing the transformative power of the Rotary pin.

The Rotary Club of Toronto is the RCT Skyline’s proud Charter Sponsor. They gifted the Rotary Bell which will ring the start of the RCTS’ weekly meetings. As well, a number of other Rotary Clubs across the district celebrated with RCTS and came bearing thoughtful and useful gifts for the start-up club. Their support is much appreciated by the new club.

On this special night all the Charter Members received their Rotary lapel pins which identifies them as members of Rotary International, people who believe in "Service Above Self" and are committed living by Rotary's Four Way Test.

Congratulations to Charter President Kevin Quan, President Elect Liz Greenland, and to all the members of the Rotary Club of Toronto Skyline!
