September 17, 2025 was a very special night for the Rotary Club of Etobicoke. We inducted 8 new members (3 others were unable to attend); celebrated 8 Etobicoke Rotarians that were winners of the Outstanding Achievement Award for Outstanding Service to Both Community and Rotary. This award will be formally presented to the 8 Rotarians at a special ceremony at the Toronto Reference Library, Bluma Apel Salon on October 28th. They will receive a medal and citation.
We also presented the club with the Rotary International Club Excellence Award. We were then treated to dinner & a wonderful show by very special people from the Famous People's Players.

Club Excellence Award for 2024-2025: Tom Sanderson was asked to present the Club Excellence Award that is awarded to Clubs In our District that complete the goals that they set out prior to the start of the each Rotary Year. Tom was pleased to report that our Club completed 100% of the goals that we set out to do. Tom presented the Award to President Lynda Ryder.
Introduction of the Winners of Ontario Ministry of Citizenship & Multiculturalism Volunteer Service Awards: Paul Roeser introduce our Club Members who are the winners of the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship & Multiculturalism Volunteer Service Awards; Gillian Dugas, Andre Dugas, Lincoln Dugas-Nishisato, Anne Heber, Gerald Lue, Ron Miller, and Iosif Ciosa. Unfortunately Iosif was unable to attend this evening as he continues to be in the hospital. A formal ceremony for the award winners will be held on October 28th at the Toronto Reference Library’s Bram and Bluma Appel Salon where they will receive a pin and official certificate. Secretary Ron presented each New Member with a Membership Certificate and then affixed their Rotary lapel pins on each of them. Gill Dugas gave a brief introduction of each of the new Members, and welcomed them to the Club. Gerald Lue formally inducted the new members, and Paul Roeser welcomed the New Members to the Club and Rotary. All the Members in the audience were invited to come up and welcome the New Members.
