District Governor Iosf presented this Special Service Award to Ken Hurst for his outstanding efforts on the Kids Against Hunger food packing service project during the July 5, 2022 Rotary International President Jennifer Jones Imagine Rotary Tour.

Norm Simpson Award for International Service - to Jon Stevens - Rotary Club of Markham Sunrise
This trophy is awarded annually to the club in the district that made the most outstanding contribution to the International Service of Rotary during the preceding Rotary year. Jon Stevens from the Markham Sunrise Rotary Club joined with Tracey Burton and Tammy Isa of the Canadians Care Collective (a team of Canadian Volunteers) and other partners to deliver urgently needed medications and medical supplies to Ukrainian hospitals, clinics, doctors’ offices and directly to the front lines. John and the club initially raised around $83,000 through the CanadaHelps online platform and another $42,000 via other means for a total of about $125,000 cash raised – in addition to the $100 million of in-kind donations.

This award honours clubs that have generated increased awareness and understanding of Rotary through media coverage or public relations efforts
Internal Communications Award - to the Rotary Clubs of Bowmanville, Oshawa-Parkwood, Toronto and Wellington
This award covers communication within or between clubs and is open to all clubs by application. The application should include samples of internet sites, club bulletins, coverage in Rotary News or samples of Rotary education campaigns.
