Welcome to District 7070’s Rotary Foundation Grant information for the 2025-26 Rotary year.

Every Rotary and Rotaract Club that wants to participate in the Rotary Foundation’s grants program (Global and District Grants) must be qualified.  This is a requirement by the Rotary Foundation.  The qualification training is provided by the Districts.  The qualification is yearly.

To become qualified, a Club in District 7070 must

  • have at least two of its members complete the District training, and

  • Club President and President Elect must sign and submit an MOU -Memorandum of understanding – to the District.

District 7070 offers two ways for Clubs to meet the two member training requirement.  Almost 70 Rotarians attended the Foundation Workshop in Oshawa on Saturday, November 16, 2024.  Those who stayed throughout the workshop are registered as one of the members required for the qualification.

Rotarians, who didn’t attend the November workshop, can instead take the online two module training and related quizzes.  Links to the two modules as well as the two quizzes are in the left hand column.  There is also a link to the MOU, which can be downloaded, signed as requested and then submitted to the District.

Qualified Clubs will be displayed on the Districts website.

In the left-hand column, you will also find a link to the 2025-26 District Grant Application form.  The deadline for submitting District Grant Applications is May 31, 2025.

Once a District Grant project is completed, the Applying Club must submit a Final Report.  A template is available in the lefthand column.

Similarly, a list of Qualified Clubs is available in the lefthand column.

For Global Grant applications, please go to the Grant Center at www.rotary.org   International and Host Partners must be qualified.  in the lefthand column, there is a link to the Request for DDF form.  A completed DDF Request form must be submitted to the District, if you want any DDF for your Global Grant project.

The District’ will receive less DDF for the2025-26 Rotary year, as donations to the Annual Fund of the Rotary Foundaton were significant lower during the pandemic.  Therefore, the District may have to make difficult DDF allocation decisions so valuable DDF can be shared among many worthy causes.

Please, feel free to contact PDG Lars Henriksson, pdglars.henriksson@gmail.com if you have questions or comments.
