In her own words:

Three years ago, I was inspired to build an Outdoor Ice Hockey Rink for girls in Kabul, Afghanistan! With support from Rotary Club of North York, my dream came true.

Now, I am looking for your support.

On Monday, April 29, 2019, I will begin walking from Barrie to Ottawa, a distance of 412 km. My goal is to raise money for abused women and children, both in Canada, and abroad. Help me to achieve my goal.

I will kick start my journey at Barrie City Hall at 9 a.m. I will arrive in Ottawa on Mother’s Day, May 12.

Women of Barrie, please run, walk, and rollerblade with me. For those along my route, ( See Map below ) please join me as I pass through your area.

My birthday is on May 5 this year. Help me to celebrate the occasion, by joining me on my journey to Ottawa. Let's demonstrate to people around the world that Canadians care about all women!

I really want to support women who are survivors of domestic violence and their children.
A global coalition of rights organizations, estimates that every two seconds, an under-age girl is married. Every year, approximately 15 MILLION girls are forced into marriage worldwide. This number should be a shocking wake up call.

My new project will be to build a 50.000 -square-foot Women's Shelter in  Afghanistan, which will include 30 bedrooms, along with offering fully-accessible rooms, individualized group counselling, employment skills training, life coaching, health centre, action centre for four seasons sports and a school for children.

As my understanding of violence against women continues to evolve, I recognize that my response as a mother in our society must become more complex, evidence-based and holistic. Your significant investment means that my critical dream can become a reality.

Your gift will make it possible to provide hundreds of women and youth each year with the specialized programs and services they need. Your gifts are a pledge to the future.

Please help me make a difference!
