They provided a working definition of Human Trafficking, and showed us Signs to look for, the "red flags" , including the basic stages of grooming and they highlighted common risk factors for victims. They discussed statistics both on a Provincial level as well as from a local perspective, the Criminal Code offences related to Human Trafficking and they touched upon why there is a failure for victims to come forward and additionally some of the limitations from a policing perspective when it comes to bringing these matters before the court.
