Greetings Rotary Family!
November is Rotary Foundation month. In all respects, we celebrate our Rotary Foundation year-round. November provides us the special opportunity to create awareness about the transformative work of our Rotary Foundation programs and to thank our generous donors for making a difference.
As you know, The Rotary Foundation's goal is to build its endowment to $2.025 billion by 2025. The endowment is a fund that allows individuals to combine their gifts to address global needs for generations to come. We are currently just under $200 million from reaching our goal. Many of our districts throughout Zones 28 and 32 having legacy dinners and events underway to encourage their members to contribute to the endowment. Many districts have exceeded their goal of $1 million toward this effort. Thank you for your generosity and leaving a legacy.
For the 16th consecutive year, The Rotary Foundation has received the highest rating of four stars from Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of charities in the U.S. This is an accomplishment of which to be very proud. I thank you all for supporting our Rotary Foundation programs, as we are truly “Doing Good in the World” every day.
Please enjoy this month’s video (link below) with my guest Glen Christenson, Past President of the Rotary Club of Brampton-Sunrise. Glen is just one of so many Rotary Foundation generous donors.
All the best!
Yours in Rotary,
Chris Etienne
