To our Rotary Family! in Zones 28 and 32 !!!

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Rotary year where we will Unite for Good.

First of all, a tremendous thank you to immediate Past President Stephanie Urchick for her inspiration and leadership.  During the past year we shared the Magic of Rotary by embracing our Rotary Action Plan, promoting peacebuilding and focusing on growing membership.

As we embark on this new Rotary year, our Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo from Ragusa, Italy, said, “Let us create one great shared dream that unites us, that excites us, that changes the world and changes our lives, too.”  He has asked us to come together with a focus on membership, the eradication of polio and peace.  During his final remarks at the Rotary Internation Convention in Calgary, he said, “Together, we can unite.  We can unite to change lives, including our own. We can unite to change communities, right around the corner and half a world away. We can unite to change our world for the better, not just for us, but for generations to come. Together, we Unite for Good.”

During the month of July, we also celebrate one of our areas of focus:  Maternal and Child Health.  As members of Rotary, we expand access to quality care, so mothers and children everywhere can have the same opportunities for a healthy future. An estimated 5.9 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, inadequate health care, and poor sanitation — all of which can be prevented.

Please enjoy this month’s message including a conversation with PDG Connie Spark from District 7390 in Pennsylvania.  Connie has participated in numerous Rotary Foundation Global Grants including Vocational Training Teams and work with Maternal and Child Health in Zambia.

All the best for a successful 2025-2026 Rotary year as together, we Unite for Good.

Yours in Rotary,

Chris Etienne
