As we welcome a new Rotary year, 2022-2024 Rotary International Director Drew Kessler "passes the baton" to 2024-2026 Director Chris Etienne.

Please watch the video, and read Chris's message to all Rotarians in our two zones:

Greetings Rotary Family!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Rotary year where we will share The Magic of Rotary.

It is with great pleasure that I thank Drew and Vicki Kessler for their years of service as Rotary International director and partner for the past two years. Thank you Drew and Vicki for your leadership in supporting our members throughout Zones 28 and 32; and thank you for your hard work, dedication and inspiration in moving our organization forward. Thank you for all you do and all you have done for Rotary!

As we embark on this new Rotary year, our Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick has chosen the theme “The Magic of Rotary”. While introducing our theme at the Rotary International Assembly in January, President Stephanie shared that she saw the magic of Rotary on display when she was helping install water filters in the Dominican Republic. Two young boys were watching as dirty water entered the filter and ran out clean at the other end. One of the boys grabbed her sleeve and said, “Show me the magic again.” Obviously, the water filter wasn’t magic but those two young boys knew that access to clean water would change their lives. We all have the opportunity to share the magic of Rotary by working together to grow our organization and increase our impact in our communities and around the world. And we can do that by embracing the four strategic priorities of our Rotary Action Plan. You will hear me share often about our Rotary Action Plan throughout the year, but in the meantime, I encourage you to learn more: https://my.rotary.org/en/who-we-are/about-rotary/action-plan.

Thank for being a member of our great organization and thank you for your service. I consider it an honor and a privilege to serve as your Rotary International director; and I look forward to working together as we take action, create lasting change and share the Magic of Rotary.

Yours in Rotary,

Chris Etienne
