You’re invited to join ShelterBox Canada and two of our in-country partners for a virtual panel discussion in honour of International Women's Day. We will explore how disasters and conflict uniquely impact women and girls - and how including women in every stage of emergency shelter response leads to stronger, safer communities. 

When disasters or conflict strike, women and girls are disproportionately affected - yet their leadership is also one of the strongest predictors of a community’s long-term recovery.......

In this interactive session, we’ll discuss:

  • Why including women throughout assessment, planning, and implementation improves emergency shelter outcomes
  • The critical role of local female leaders and partner organizations in delivering effective aid
  • Real examples of how ShelterBox adapts our shelter responses to ensure safety, dignity, and agency for women and girls

Our panel will include:
