The 2026 Rotary Youth Leadership Symposium (RYLS) was another outstanding success that took place, April 9-12, 2026 at the Ganaraska Forest Centre! The 3-night experience was geared toward youth between the ages of 16-20 and offered an inspiring program: Leadership Skills, Hands-on Activities, Team Dynamics and Collaboration, Public Speaking, Outdoor Survival along with campfires, friendship, tons of fun, learning and so much more!!!

Thirty students from the Rotary District 7070 area joined together at the Ganaraska Forest Centre for the 4 day, 3 night Rotary Youth Leadership Symposium (RYLS). The students build confidence, learn to respect different perspectives, and discover how to make real impact as leaders, all while having fun and building new friendships!

Here are the words of Chair, Past District Governor Mark Chipman:So proud of the Rotary Youth Leadership Symposium (RYLS) team. What you don’t see are the long hours, the little sleep, and the constant energy they give to make this experience unforgettable for others. This team demonstrated what leadership means, and inspired everyone around them to do the same. 30 students graduated from this weekend’s program and will benefit from their efforts! Also huge thanks to Rachel for support, the many speakers who contributed to the weekend including Mal Balachandran, Rebecca Grieve, Terry Caputo, Jim Lawrence, along with the awesome Ganaraska Forest Centre educational facilitators and Jaz, our incredible food caterer!
