Our Immediate Past District Governor  Virginia O'Reilly is very excited to congratulate the 22 Clubs in District 7070 who achieved the Club Excellence Award during her year as District Governor (2024-2025). We will hand out the Awards at District Governor Niecy's District Conference in Ocotber.

How did these Clubs achieve the Citation, you ask?

The Club Excellence Award recognizes Clubs that achieve specific goals throughout the Rotary year.  Clubs can find these goals in Rotary Club Central.

The successful Clubs reviewed all of the available goals, selected at least half of them, worked to achieve their selected goals, and reported their achievements in Rotary Club Central.

The goals focus on activities that vibrant Clubs typically do, such as increasing membership, engaging in service projects locally and/or internationally, building awareness of Rotary in their community, and donating to The Rotary Foundation.

What is the benefit of achieving the Award?

The Club Excellence Award isn't just an honour that gives your Club bragging rights.  It is an important tool to help monitor the health and growth of your Club.  The goals help Clubs engage their members, stay relevant in their communities, and function more efficiently.

If you need assistance with this, please reach out to your Assistant District Governor.  Discuss the goals with members of your Club.  It would be great to double the number of Clubs who achieve a Club Excellence Award in 2025-2026!!

Thank you

IPDG Virginia

The Rotary Citation, renamed the Club Excellence Award  recognizes the hard work clubs do throughout the year. The Rotary Club Excellence Award recognizes clubs that achieve specific goals aligned with Rotary's action plan, promoting engagement, growth, and community impact. The Club Excellence Award is not just an honor for your club to receive, it is an important tool to help monitor the health and growth of your club. Taking action toward achieving 13 of 26 goals helps clubs engage their members, stay relevant in their communities, and run more efficiently. A welcoming and engaging club also reflects the values of Rotary. When clubs work to achieve these goals, they also contribute to the overall health and culture of Rotary for generations to come.
