The Rotary Club of Toronto recently hosted an online 3-week series of dynamic speakers (January 22, 29 and February 5 from 12:15 - 1:30pm) sharing their experiences of racism in Canada and pointing to some positive paths forward. The purpose of this initiative is to build awareness of and insight into the prevalence and impacts of racism and to stimulate ideas about actions Rotary can take to help be a part of the solution.

The Rotary Club of Toronto, one of the city's most impactful agents of social change for over 100 years, is inviting you to join our dialogue around constructive actions for dealing with racism.

Events through 2020 together with the impacts of the pandemic have made it painfully evident:  racism is a too common lived reality for many Canadians and First Nations people; and systemic racism is perpetuating inequalities that frequently place Blacks, Indigenous and People of Colour in harm's way.

We recognize that the primary focus of the first two programs is helping Rotarians better understand systemic racism and 'white privilege', but these are experiences we need to have to help deal with racism. On Feburary 5th, we'll move to focusing on 'action'.

We would appreciate it if you could join us!
