To our Rotary family in District 7070,

The Rotary Club of Stirling is going to donate $5,000 to ShelterBox and the Haiti Disaster Relief Fund. That is equivalent to approximately $175 per member. We, a smaller rural club, challenge other clubs in District 7070 to recognize our commitment of $175/member and give generously. The current goal as shown in District Governor Ron Dick's weekly email to Club Presidents is is $35,000. With over 1,800 active members in District 7070 we should be able to far exceed that amount if all Clubs participate.

Prior to the discussion about Haiti, we discussed our recent yard sale which was held in the hot and humid weather. It was an extreme amount of work but each day we were able to go home to a satisfying meal, a warm shower, a nice bed, and many other comforts of home. We raised close to $5,000 at our yard sale. It was an unanimous decision to give $5,000 to ShelterBox and the Haiti Disaster Relief Fund.

Fellow District 7070 Clubs and Rotarians, please accept our challenge!

Yours In Rotary,

Lianne Radocsay
