The Rotaract Club of Willowdale is fighting COVID-19 in Africa and in the Caribbean this new Rotary Year. One of their International Service projects will be supporting Initiative EPI, an awareness campaign to fight COVID-19 in Africa and the Caribbean, and to support healthcare and front-line professionals in need of personal protective equipment. The Initiative was created by a team of professionals and entrepreneurs with backgrounds from various countries: Algeria, Cameroon, DR Congo, Ghana, Guyana, Morocco, Senegal & Uganda. WHAT WE DO
Our goal is to support healthcare and front-line professionals in African and Caribbean countries by providing them with gloves, gowns, masks and eye protections. We are aiming at supporting countries like Algeria, Burkina Faso, Guyana, Nigeria, Congo DRC, Senegal, etc.
NEXT STEPS
Haiti is currently in a state of emergency and is facing a spike in COVID-19 cases. In the next 2 weeks, we will be working with the Centre Hospitalier Gratuit de Tessert to provide surgical masks, gloves, gowns and hand sanitizers. We are seeking your assistance to either donate some PPEs, help with the shipping costs or provide any other type of assistance.
