On Saturday, November 18, 2023, the District 7070 Rotary Foundation Committee will hold a Grants Management Seminar about the Rotary Foundation and its grants program. The seminar will be held at the Oshawa and District Shrine Hall, 1626 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa.

Members of Rotary and Rotaract Clubs who attend the full program will meet the qualification requirements for both the current Rotary year and the 2024-25 year. The alternative will be completing the modules and quizzes found on the District’s website.  Clubs must also submit Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to the District for each year.

The agenda for the seminar, which will start at 8 am and run to 2 pm, will include information on the Rotary Foundation, how to raise funds for the Foundation, how the funds become available to Clubs and Districts and ways the District allocates funds it receives Distrct Designated Funds (DDF). There will also be presentations of Global and District grant projects as well as a walk through of the District grant application process for the 2024-25 Rotary year. In addition, there will be an opportunity during the program for Clubs to share project ideas.
