The Rotary Club of Port Hope has once again stepped up to generously cover the cost of ROLLS Transit in December. This means throughout December, residents who are already enrolled as ROLLS members can enjoy the service without the fees, the Municipality of Port Hope recently announced. Costs for the specialized, accessible transit service will be covered through to Dec. 31. Rotary has also sponsored Christmas light tours from Dec. 13 to 20, it was recently announced. Reservations for these one-hour bus tours are open to ROLLS members and residents of Empire Crossing, Hope Street Terrace, Roseglen Village, Extendicare and Regency Park, it was explained. Tours run 5 to 8 p.m. For more details and/or to book a spot, residents can contact the transit co-ordinator at 905-885-9891.
