In the past three years, District 7070 has received letters from a company representing a major wire service pointing out specific images ( i.e. photos or videos) that have been copyrighted by the wire service.One photo was from the Rotary International Instagram account and the other was from Shekterbox Canda's Newsletter. The company, in question, ask us to prove that we have or had a license to republish the photo. If not we may pay a service fee to them or we can resolve the issue with the wire service directly (likely in court) . This is just a small sample of 2 incidents from one of many companies doing the same thing. As a precaution, we encourage your club to use only images (photos and videos) that are in the Rotary Brand Center or that you create yourself.
