BOB CHAPMAN - ROTARY CLUB OF TORONTO LEASIDE

ROBERT (BOB) HARVEY CHAPMAN, B.A, C.A. October 23, 1944 - March 12, 2021: From the Rotary Club: Bob brought so much to this club and will be remembered dearly. He was a true Rotarian. May his soul Rest In Peace. Donations in honour of former member of the Toronto Leaside Rotary Club, Robert Chapman, can be made by cheque. Please send a cheque to: Leaside Rotary Foundation, 112 Reeve Dr., Markham, ON L3P 6C7  .A tax receipt will be issued. Thank you to everyone for supporting our club!

Bob passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, with his family by his side. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 52 years, Branka; his beloved daughters: Melissa (Daniel) and Kirsten (Neil); his cherished grandchildren: Taylor, Cameron, Lauren, Reid, Turner and Lillian; and his loving nephew, Tony (Gloria), niece, Tanya, and grandnephew, Markus. He will forever be remembered for his dedication to his family, his outgoing personality, his love of music, and his sense of humour, which he never lost. Bob was very committed to his community, volunteering his time and enthusiasm to many organizations over the years; most recently as a valued member on the boards of the Lawrence Park Condominium and the Rotary Club of Toronto Leaside. Bob touched the lives of so many people, both near and far, many of whom became his extended family and held a very special place in his heart. Bob could make a friend anywhere he went. He forged lifelong friendships through his career in the automotive industry, his volunteer work, and his role as a founding member of the Z League. You could often find Bob playing golf with his buddies at the Royal Flemington, and he never missed an opportunity to proudly cheer on his grandchildren at their activities. Nothing brought Bob more joy than spending time at his beloved cottage, surrounded by his family and his friends on Belgrove Crescent. He will be remembered in every visit from a hummingbird and every sunset on the shores of Georgian Bay. A private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Rotary Club of Leaside Charitable Foundation in Bob's memory. Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
