In her July 2024 Newsletter, District 7070 Governor Virginia O'Reilly talks about how honoured she is to follow a line of District Governors who continue to make a difference in the world, and pleased to serve as District Governor for Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick, with her theme "the Magic of Rotary" which is all of us, creating Magic, as we take part in and complete so many projects locally and internationally, and polio eradication in particular. She encourages us to make our clubs irresistible and share Rotary with more people. She is looking forward to meeting everyone on her official visits to our clubs, and encourages all of us to register today for a fabulous District Conference in October at the Nottawasaga Inn in Alliston....... .

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Rotary Year!! I hope you have enjoyed the Canada Day Weekend!
I am very proud to be your District Governor for this Rotary Year. I am honoured to follow the line of District 7070 District Governors who proceed me making a difference in our District and the world.
I am also pleased to serve as DG for Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick, just the second female to hold the role in the 119 years of Rotary. Stephanie’s Presidential theme is ‘The Magic of Rotary”.
You might think ‘what magic?’ Every Rotarian creates Magic – Yes! you and you and you! We create Magic with every project completed, with every dollar donated and with every new member inducted into our great organization. Just think of the smiles, the bright eyes of each person you’ve seen or heard about when your Club donated warm clothing, made meals, gave out a bursary or scholarship, supported a neighbourhood garden. Or the millions of people who are able to walk on the earth today because of the Polio vaccine. The Magic of Rotary!!
We can also spread the Magic of Rotary by inviting others to spread the Magic of Rotary. Let’s work to make our Clubs Irresistible and ensure this year that there are more people with us ready to share our belief in ‘Service Above Self’ and add to our Rotary Magic!
