In his January 2018 Newsletter, our District Governor Neil Phillips talks about the importance of January being Vocational Service Month, and the start of the transition of training for the new Rotary year which begins on July 1, 2018. He thanks us all for our first six months of service this Rotary year and challenges us to reach out for the Rotary Citation and to meet and exceed our club goals. .......
My Fellow Rotarians:
January also officially starts the transition and training of new leaders within Rotary. District Governor-Elect Mary Lou heads to San Diego for the International Assembly this month, an inspiring gathering of all 538 District Governors-Elect world-wide. In her letter she speaks of leadership within the Club level, where it all starts. I also encourage those who may be interested in serving at District to reach out and see what opportunities there are.
With the year half-completed, it’s also a great time to sit back and evaluate where your Club is. Take a look at the Rotary Citation at one of your January Club or Board meetings. Are you on the road to achieving all you set out to do? Are adjustments needed? Will you meet Foundation and End Polio Now fundraising goals? Have you engaged with our many youth programs?
Thank you to all for everything you’ve done the first six months of the Rotary year.
Here’s to a successful 2018 !
Yours In Rotary,
Neil
