In her June 2026 Newsletter, District 7070 Governor Niecy Dillon Tyrovolas talks about our District being BUSY in the very best way. We are celebrating Paul Harris Fellowship nights, Changeover celebrations, Scholarship presentations, New Club Charter nights, and amazing community projects that continue to make a difference every single day . She is so incredibly proud of our clubs, our members, our leaders, and the impact we are making together. One event that was especially meaningful to Niecy this year was our EPIC Day of Service.  She thanks every club that participated and embraced the idea of making Rotary visible in our communities through action. She notes that June is Fellowship Month and encourages everyone to get together with your members! Have a fun breakfast, a lunch gathering, a backyard BBQ, an evening social, coffee, ice cream…whatever makes your club smile. Invite family, invite friends, invite community members…And most importantly… Invite Niecy! She loves seeing you all, hearing your stories, and celebrating the amazing things happening across our District. Niecy hopes to see ALL of you at our District Changeover Night as we celebrate US! This evening is about everything we accomplished together as a District. It will be a night of fellowship, fun, laughter, a few awards, probably a tear or two, and of course… plenty of hugs. We will celebrate the incredible 2025–2026 year and welcome Liz Compton and her amazing team as they prepare for another fantastic Rotary year.   Please Read  more.  .........

Greetings  Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and Earlyactors,  !!.

Hello Amazing District 7070!

Can you believe it? There is only ONE month left in my District Governor year. Lately, the question I get asked the most is… “Are you looking forward to your year being over?” And my answer is always… No.

Will it be emotional? Absolutely. Will I enjoy getting a tiny bit of my time back? Maybe just a little!  But sad? Yes…because what an incredible year this has been.

This year has been filled with unforgettable moments, incredible service, lots of laughs, lots of hugs (of course!), and relationships that I will cherish forever. I have seen firsthand the impact Rotary has in our communities, and let me tell you… District 7070 is something very special.

But let me be very clear…I am not going anywhere!!! Once Rotary gets into your heart, it stays there forever.

As we move through May and June, our District is BUSY in the very best way. We are celebrating Paul Harris Fellowship nights, Changeover celebrations, Scholarship presentations, New Club Charter nights, and amazing community projects that continue to make a difference every single day.

And honestly…I LOVE attending them all!

If there is one word that continues to stay with me this year, it is:

PROUD

I am so incredibly proud of our clubs, our members, our leaders, and the impact we are making together. One event that was especially meaningful to me this year was our EPIC Day of Service. Thank you to every club that participated and embraced the idea of making Rotary visible in our communities through action. This day is very near and dear to my heart because together, we made incredible things happen all across District 7070. From community cleanups, food initiatives, blood donor clinics, gardening projects, and so much more — Rotary showed up in a BIG way. And our communities noticed. They were appreciative, inspired, and reminded of what Rotary is all about — people coming together to make a difference. I can promise you this… EPIC Day of Service is something we will absolutely continue in the years to come!

Now… let’s talk about one of my favourite Rotary topics…

June is Rotary Fellowship Month!

You all know this is my favourite because Rotary is not just about meetings and projects — it is about relationships, friendship, and FUN! So here is your homework (you knew there had to be some!):

Get together with your members! Have a fun breakfast, a lunch gathering, a backyard BBQ, an evening social, coffee, ice cream…whatever makes your club smile. Invite family, invite friends, invite community members…And most importantly…

Invite ME! I love seeing you all, hearing your stories, and celebrating the amazing things happening across our District.

And speaking of celebration…

I truly hope to see ALL of you at our District Changeover Night as we celebrate US!

District 7070… thank you. Thank you for believing in our vision to Unite for Good. Thank you for serving your communities. Thank you for your kindness, support, and friendship.

You have made this year one of the greatest honours of my life.

Keep having fun. Keep making a difference. Keep bringing people together.

And remember…

I have one more newsletter to write!!!

With gratitude, hugs, and flip flops,

Niecy
