In her August 2025 Newsletter, District 7070 Governor Niecy Dillon Tyrovolas talks about the energy in our clubs all across the District. She adds, "Now August is here, and it's Membership and New Club Development Month, which means it’s the perfect time to shine a light on what makes Rotary magical—our people!" While we celebrate and welcome new members, let’s not forget the incredible folks already among us. Retention matters just as much as recruitment. So here’s a little challenge: pick up the phone and call a member from your club you haven’t seen in a while.". Our District Governor is also urging everyone to register today, for the October 24-26, 2025 District Conference... Please Read more. .........
Greetings Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and Earlyactors, !!.
August Newsletter Message: Let’s Unite For Good!
What a fantastic start to our Rotary year! There’s a buzz in the air, a spark in our step, and a whole lot of heart as we embrace our theme—Unite For Good. From Day One, I’ve felt the energy across our clubs, and let me tell you, it’s contagious! July was all about setting the tone—and we did just that. Now August is here, and it's Membership and New Club Development Month, which means it’s the perfect time to shine a light on what makes Rotary magical—our people!
This month, I’ve had the absolute honour of visiting some truly inspiring clubs. Trenton invited me to speak, and they didn’t come alone—seven other clubs joined in the fun! Talk about community in action. Big group hug from the Presidents in the East! Then it was off to North York, where I joined a breakfast meeting that was as intimate as it was bursting with brilliant ideas and laughter. Most recently, Cobourg welcomed me with open arms—and flip flops! That’s right, their entire club showed up to lunch in their best beachy footwear. It was fun, fresh, and absolutely Rotary!
While we celebrate and welcome new members, let’s not forget the incredible folks already among us. Retention matters just as much as recruitment. So here’s a little challenge: pick up the phone and call a member from your club you haven’t seen in a while. No agenda—just a friendly “hey, we miss you!” And while you’re at it, set a personal goal to invite one person to your next meeting—whether it’s a family member, a friend, a co-worker, or that neighbour who you know would make a great Rotarian. A warm invitation can spark a life-changing journey.

I’ll be continuing my club visits and helping at events all year long, and I can’t wait to keep connecting with more of you. There is nothing like seeing the passion in your eyes, hearing your stories, and learning about the amazing work you’re doing in your communities. Every visit leaves me more inspired and more certain that we are building something truly special together.
If you have not already done so, please register today for the October24-26, 2025 District Conference at the Fern Resort in Orillia. You can register right HERE.
Don't forget to register HERE for the August 19 Tuesday Talks - " 10 unique Ideas to make Your Club More Attractive" with internationally renowned speaker Michael Angelo Caruso
Thank you for your kindness, your energy, your commitment—and your flip flops! I am beyond proud to be your District Governor. Let’s keep the momentum going, keep welcoming, keep connecting, and most of all—let’s Walk Together to Unite For Good!

Hugs to All,
In Rotary,

Niecy Dillon-Tyrovolas
District 7070 Governor, 2025-26
