In her April 2026 Newsletter, District 7070 Governor Niecy Dillon Tyrovolas talks about March2026 being filled with energy, connection, and impact—and she LOVED seeing it all across District 7070, from International Women's Day, to the Toronto St Patrick's Day Parade, to Presidents Elect Training, Sewing Days, Brush-A-Mania, Paul Harris Celebrations, 75th Anniversary Galas, Speaker Series, , Food Drives, …and so much more. Niecy reminds us that April is Protect the Environment Month and urges us to commit to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources and advance ecological sustainability. April is setting up to be just as active with Easter (yes… she loves chocolate… no shame!), RYLS – Rotary Youth Leadership Symposium, Inter-Club Spelling Bee, Walk the Earth, Great Lakes Watershed Clean Up, Learning Tuesday – All about Storytelling, Fun Under the Big Top – Famous People Players, and EPIC Day of Service projects popping up across the District! Please Read more.  .........

Unite for Good

Hello my amazing Rotary family, April is here… and WOW… if March was any indication of who we are as a District, we are absolutely unstoppable!  March was filled with energy, connection, and impact—and I LOVED seeing it all across District 7070. What a month!!! Here’s just a glimpse of the magic happening across our District:

International Women’s Day Event
An incredible success! Thank you to everyone who attended, our inspiring speakers, and the amazing planning committee who brought this event to life.

Toronto St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Huge shoutout to the Rotary Club of Toronto and the Rotary Club of Etobicoke for organizing such a FUN experience—our float was incredible and the energy was unmatched!

President Elect Training (PELS)
We wrapped up training in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake with collaboration, brainstorming, and excitement for the year ahead. The future is BRIGHT!

Across the District…
Sewing Days
Brush-A-Mania
Paul Harris Celebrations
75th Anniversary Galas
Speaker Series
Food Drives
…and so much more!

Seriously… WOW.

You are making our communities stronger, kinder, and better places to live.

April Theme: Protecting The Environment Month

This month, Rotary shines a spotlight on Protecting the Environment — one of our core areas of focus. Rotary shares an interest in protecting our common legacy: the environment. We are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources and advance ecological sustainability. We empower communities to embrace local solutions, create innovative service projects, and access grants and other resources to foster harmony between people and nature. We work with communities to implement service projects that improve the environment and transform lives. Thriving ecosystems can support people’s health, create economic opportunities, and help build peace.  This is Rotary in action. Let’s continue to Unite for Good and support initiatives that protect the environment.

If you thought March was busy… April said, “Hold my chocolate!”  Here’s what’s coming up:

Easter (yes… I love chocolate… no shame!)
RYLS – Rotary Youth Leadership Symposium
Inter-Club Spelling Bee
Walk the Earth
Great Lakes Watershed Clean Up
Learning Tuesday – Public Image
Fun Under the Big Top – Famous People Players
EPIC Day of Service projects popping up across the District!

I am so proud of this District. The collaboration. The energy. The heart. You are showing what it truly means to Unite for Good—and I am grateful to walk this journey with each and every one of you. I’ll definitely be out and about this month… so don’t be surprised if I show up with a hug ready! Let’s keep the momentum going

With gratitude (and maybe a little chocolate),
Niecy
