District Governor Mark Chipman's March 2021 Newsletter

In District 7070 this year, we are proud to support Water, Sanitation & Hygiene related projects through numerous TRF District and Global grants including:

• Rainwater collection and drip irrigation systems in Uganda (Newmarket, Ajax +5 other clubs)

• Irrigation water for a town in Lebanon (Newmarket, Willowdale, Ajax, Richmond Hill)

• Permanent water supply to villages in Laos (Whitby Sunrise, Bowmanville, Scarborough, Ajax, Port Hope, Richmond Hill, Uxbridge)

• Bio-sand water filters for a community in the Dominican Republic (Whitby Sunrise, Bowmanville)

• Toilet block for girls in rural India (Toronto, 12 D7070 clubs)

• Water filters for families in Puerto Vallarta,

• Wasambo water system in Malawi

• Rotary Hands Across Water (RHAW) program which provides education on water and sanitation to students in Poland and Romania.
