Congratulations to Joe Solway and the Rotary Club of Bowmanville for an outstanding Concert in December 2019 for Feed The Need Durham. Thank you to the many Rotarians throughout District 7070 who purchased tickets and attended the concert. Thank you to Joe, his Committee, and the artists who helped to put on the annual Concert to Feed the Need in Durham. Feed the Need in Durham helps up to ten thousand families around the holiday season, each year.The numbers are in and our friends at Feed The Need Durham are thrilled to announce that our Rotary concert raised just over $14,000 for Feed the Need in Durham Region, which translates into more than $98,000 dollars worth of food going to our neighbours who need it.....
That's because for every dollar donated, Feed the Need can distribute 7 dollars worth of food. A big thanks to all who made this happen: volunteers, sponsors, ticket-buyers and the musicians who donated their time. Stay tuned for details of the 2020 Concert to Feed the Need in Durham, coming soon.
Feed the Need in Durham provides perishable as well as non-perishable food to emergency food providers. Grocery chains make their excess food available to them at distribution centres, enabling them to help marginalized people in Durham benefit from eating a variety of healthy and nourishing foods including fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs, and milk.
