Brush-a-mania is a not-for-profit program designed to promote oral health and awareness among young children from Junior Kindergarten to grade 6. It was started in 2001 by the Scarborough Rotary Passport Club and has already reached over 650,000 students. Our purpose is to educate and motivate children and to bring together dentists, Rotarians, teachers and parents to create a celebration around proper dental care. Read more about this great project and see how you and your Rotary Club can  help next year.....

Dear Rotarian friends:

Let’s Celebrate Oral Health Month Together in 2025!

April is Oral Health Month in Canada. Please assist us to encourage your local schools and parents to promote good oral and overall health.

Schools may schedule a presentation by a local dentist and order a Colgate toothbrush and toothpaste for each of their students.

The goal is to encourage the students to develop good oral hygiene habits at an early age.

Send a letter to your local schools now promoting good oral health:

Letter to Principals is available to download asking elementary schools to sign up for Brush-a-mania 2025.   Schools may order a Colgate toothbrush and toothpaste for each of their students.  (All City of Toronto schools are sponsored by the Scarborough Rotary Passport Club.  Cost for non-Toronto schools is $1 per student.)

Send a letter to parents late March promoting good oral health:

Letter to Parents is available to download asking parents to encourage their children to brush/floss their teeth every day.  All elementary students up to grade 6 who brush and/or floss their teeth 100 times within any 30 day period will be emailed a Brush-a-mania certificate of achievement.  His or her name will be entered into our draw to win a Nintendo Switch or one of fifty Android tablets. The contest is open to all elementary students in Canada from April 1 to May 31.

The goal is to encourage the students to develop good oral hygiene habits at an early age.

Thank you for promoting good oral health,

Raffy Chouljian
