1. International Service Award (or Norm Simpson Award)

Awarded annually to the club(s) in our District that made the most outstanding contribution to the International Service of Rotary during the preceding Rotary year. I am awarding this to a Rotarian and his helpers…

Joe Solway – for his brainchild and work on an international Rotary Collaboration “United For Good, a Beyond Borders Celebration”,

    Stories, songs and words from around the Globe focused on the Magic of Rotary to cross borders!

2. Leadership Award (or Les Faludy Award)

Awarded to a Club President who, in the judgement of the District Governor Team, provided the most outstanding leadership during the Rotary year.

3. Community Service Award (or Tibor Gregor Award)

Awarded to the Club with the best Community Service project during the year.

4. Inter-Club Fellowship Award (or Oddy Robson Memorial Award)

Presented to the Club or Rotarian that contributes most to inter-club fellowship.           Matt Emerson, a member of the East York Rotary Club

for his work with East Toronto Connect (ETC), encouraging collaboration among Rotary Clubs in the Scarborough & East / North GTA areas

5     Member Retention Award (or Basil Tippet Award)

Awarded to the Club or Club(s) with the highest member retention ratio based on clubs’ membership at the beginning of the Rotary Year.

6. Membership Growth Award (or Wally Large Memorial Award)

Awarded to the Club or Club(s) with the highest % increase of membership growth in the year.

7  Youth Services Award

This award recognizes a club that has provided outstanding service to youth over an extended period.

For me this is an award for two Rotarians…

Rotarian Malaravan Balachardran (Scarborough) for his focus on connecting Rotaractors and Rotarians

PDG Mark Chipman (Whitby Sunrise) for his work on re-energizing RYLS

8  DEI Award

Awarded to the Club(s) or Rotarian(s) who are making a sustainable impact to the advancement diversity, equity and inclusion through their service project(s).

HIP Y2Y Program

John Currie, (Rotary Club of Pickering) and Executive Director & his HIP Team for their work on the Y2Y Program

9   Environmental Action Award –

Awarded to the Club who made the greatest contribution to the area of environmental awareness, sustainability and protection.

10. DOCTOR BOB SCOTT DISEASE PREVENTION AWARD

Awarded to the Rotarian who made the greatest contribution to reach The Rotary Foundation’s primary goal, namely the eradication of polio from the face of the earth.

11. WILF WILKINSON PEACE AWARD

Awarded to the Rotarian who has contributed to supporting the 4^TH Object of Rotary, the advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace.
