Congratulations to the organizers of the TWO  District 7070 Rotary Poker Walks for HIV AIDS, held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 to promote HIV/AIDS awareness across the globe. Toronto has worked in tandem with Belleville to put on two walks so that all clubs had an opportunity to participate somewhere not too far from home.  Mark Chipman, our Rotary District 7070 Governor Nominee Designate, attended the District 7070 Rotary Poker Walk in Belleville. And the Toronto Twilight Rotary Club was also on social media with their report. Be sure to Read More for their reports that appeared on Facebook .  Check out the two websites -  http://toronto.rotaryaidswalk.ca/   and  http://belleville.rotaryaidswalk.ca/  and stay tuned for photos on our District website and District Facebook pages......

From Mark Chipman:  At the Belleville Rotary Club's 12th Annual Poker Walk for HIV/AIDs. An amazing $800K raised since 2007, including $40K this year to help combat 2 million new HIV cases each year worldwide. Here with Dr. Ruth Mathieson who spoke about the state of AIDs in Africa (and later won the grand prize trip to Las Vegas!) the 'Quinte Grannies for Africa' who lend their generous support to the Stephen Lewis Foundation and the inspiring Moira High School Interact Club. Kudos to the organizing committee and Chair John Smale!

From the TTRC:  Rain didn't stop us for joining our fellow #Rotarians from @rotary7070dc yesterday at the Rotary Poker Walk for HIV/AIDS. A great day of #fundraising and education! @ Toronto, Ontario
