March is Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Month
Dear fellow Rotarians,
Rotary International’s focus for the month of March is Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. The hygiene aspect was recently added to this area of focus. As Rotary International acknowledges, we know that when adults and children have access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene, they have the potential to lead healthier, more successful lives. There are many District Rotarians and Clubs who have been involved in projects that support this area of focus for a number of years. What is your Club doing to advance this month’s focus?

Mark calls this one of the best ways to grow Rotary. He says , "These steps were long overdue, because Rotaract is a vision of what Rotary must become." ......

What Is your Rotary Club doing to focus on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in March 2020? Clean water and sanitation is a human right. When people, especially children, have access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, they lead healthier and more successful lives. We don’t just build wells and walk away. Rotary members integrate water, sanitation, and hygiene into education projects. When children learn about disease transmission and practice good hygiene, they miss less school. And they can take those lessons home to their families, expanding our impact.
