Rotary District 7070 2019-20 Year End Celebration!!!!!

Welcome to the  Special Edition Year-End Celebration Edition of the 2019-20 District 7070 Newsletter. 

The 2019-20 Awards Presentations and the District Governor Changeover Ceremony were held virtually, on June 30, 2020, LIVE via Zoom  Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, and lots of friends of Rotary from all over the District attended the event. Here are just some of the highlights.

In this Newsletter, we are going to feature the Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Awards Presentations , the District Governor Changeover, a year-end message from Past District Governor Beth Selby and add some photos of Beth during her year as District Governor. Thank you to Sonya Thompson of the Scarborough Rotary Club for her photo memories of 2019-2020.

Editor's Note: Congratulations to Past District Governor Beth Selby for an outstanding year as District Governor. She has encouraged and challenged us to ensure that Rotary Connects The World  in our clubs and in our communities, locally and globally. A job well done. Congratulations to our 2020-21 District Governor Mark Chipman,  who will encourage all of us to tell the world that Rotary Opens Opportunities  as we venture out and Do Good In The World.

Past District Governor Beth Selby and the District Governor Team hosted our annual District Governor Changeover Ceremony and Awards Presentations for more than 100 Rotarians and Rotaractors and their spouses from all over District 7070, on June 30, 2020 ONLINE. We are pleased to present Beth's year-end closing remarks to everyone in District 7070.

Here are the highlights of Past District Governor Beth Selby's address to the Rotarians at the District Governor Changover Ceremony.....

The Changeover took place by way of virtually exchanging Rotary Pins.

The Immediate Past District Governor Mary Lou Harrison conducted the ceremonies:

With the magic of Zoom, the pins were delivered and presented.

Barry Vail assisted and presented Beth Selby with her Immediate Past District Governor Pin.

Beth Selby, with the assistance of Leslie then presented Mark Chipman with a kiss and his District Governor Pin.

Mark , with the assistance of Karen presented Ron Dick with his District Governor Elect Pin.

Ron with the assistance of Maggie, kissed and presented the District Governor Nominee Pin to Iosif Cosia. 

In addition there was the District 7070 Rotaract Representative Changeover: conducted by District Rotaract Chair Shauna Moore:

2019-20 District Rotaract Rep Reema Gowani presented the District Rotaract Representative Pin to 2020-21 District Rotaract Rep  Katherine Krikpatrick Wahl

Our new District Governor Mark Chipman ended the Ceremonies by thanking Beth for her outstanding Rotary year. .....
