World Polio Day in Toronto

The "Toronto" sign at Toronto City Hall a will be lit up red, white and yellow on October 24th from 9 pm till 9am on October 25thThe CN Tower will be lit up red, white and yellow on October 25th Best time for visual would be between 8 pm till 7 am October 26th. Mayor John Tory has Proclaimed October 24th World Polio Day in the City of Toronto. Proclamation will be posted and visible at Toronto City hall on proclamation board. As well as available through Jennifer Boyd, if you wish to post on your social media. There is even more going on in the GTA..........

World Polio Day is coming up! Join us, on October 24 for a special live broadcast, from Oshawa Ontario Canada  

World Polio Day Proclamations from the City of Oshawa will be presented to the two Rotary Clubs in Oshawa on Oct 24, by Mayor Dan Carter.  And World Polio Day Proclamations from the Region of Durham, will be presented by Durham Regional Chair and fellow Rotarian, John Henry, on Oct 24 to the 10 Rotary Clubs in the Region  (Oshawa, Oshawa-Parkwood, Whitby, Whitby-Sunrise, Ajax, Pickering, Port Perry, Uxbridge, Bowmanville, and Courtice). Mayors from each of the municipalities in Durham Region have also proclaimed Oct 24 as World Polio Day and will also be presenting proclamations to the same 10 clubs , in Oshawa, on Oct 24.

We encourage everyone to join us on October 24, 2019, in person or through the livestream event,  for Rotary’s seventh annual World Polio Day event. We’ll be streaming, live, the Rotary International World Polio Day broadcast and our World Polio Day in Durham Region broadcast from the Global Classroom at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario Canada, so tune in at 5:15 p.m. Eastern Time to watch a global status update on the fight to end polio and take part in the conversation. Guests will include Global Polio Eradication Initiative partners, celebrity ambassadors, polio survivors, and others.
